magic desert sauce to pimp up boring pastry

In Portugal we got some brioche buns with a ton of nuts. But they needed a litte something since they where a little dry. That’s what I came up with, to make it the perfect late night endulgance poured over that chopped up nutty pastry.

caramelize for 5 min

  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • 50g butter
  • a shredded tart apple
  • a cubed ripe banana

separately cook

  • 250 ml milk

mix separately and whisk in

  • 50 ml milk
  • ½ pkg vanilla pudding powder

take off the stove and combine with

  • caramelized fruits
  • 1 egg
